I dreamt that my mom had met a man and she told everyone that she was moving in with him, even though none of her four kids had even met him and I personally didn't even know she had met someone. When we met him for the first time he had already prepared a house to me and my sister each, and he'd designed it after what mom had told him about us and who we were. Our favorite color, favorite books and movies. My sister got a house with drawers, boxes and cabinets that was built-in into the walls so as not take up space in the room and the drawers and doors to the boxes and cabinets closed automatically after 2 minuter. There were pictures and stickers on the walls with deep quotes and cats. She even got bookshelves with a lot of books with different genres, apparently he wanted her to start reading more. I got a purple castle, or that's how it felt when I first stepped into the house and saw the inside of it for the first time. It was way smaller than the house my sister got, and it was to make it easier for me so I wouldn't have to clean so much. The walls were covered with shelves so the cats could climb and play. There were pictures and posters and decorations from Harry Potter, Titanic and Supernatural, which are my favorite books, movies and series. There were even stickers with white butterflies. My sister really fell in love with the house she got from mom's new man, and I loved my house too.. but she accepted the man right away and she started to call him dad.. I really disliked him and was really sad and disappointed at my mom because she had told everyone but me.. I refused to move in, at least until my sister hit me upon the back of my head and she asked me why I were so difficult and sour when it came to mom's happiness and the chance for her to meet a new man that really loved her. After that conversation with my sister, I moved into the house that was all my own and after a while I even accepted him and I forgave my mom.
Dreams often serve as reflections of our subconscious thoughts, feelings, and experiences. Your dream appears to center around themes of family dynamics, acceptance, and personal space, and it offers insight into your feelings about change and relationships, particularly regarding your mother.
Your Mother's New Relationship: The dream may represent your feelings about your mother's life changes, such as entering a new relationship. It suggests a sense of surprise and perhaps disappointment that she didn't include you or consult you before making such a significant decision.
Your Personal Space: The distinct and thoughtful designs of the houses reflect your desire for individuality and comfort. The fact that your sister’s house was larger and designed with specific goals in mind suggests feelings of competition or comparison between you two. Your house, though smaller and easier to maintain, is personalized with themes you love, indicating that despite your reluctance, you still value your interests and individuality.
Acceptance and Reconciliation: The initial dislike for the new man may symbolize natural resistance to change. The conversation with your sister represents a pivotal moment of self-reflection and is likely your inner voice urging you to reconcile your feelings. This shift illustrates the process of acknowledging your mother’s right to happiness, even if it means changes that you initially resist.
The Symbolism of Houses: Houses in dreams often symbolize the self. Your sister’s house being more spacious and well-equipped might suggest that she has a different emotional or psychological space to support new relationships. Your smaller, personalized home reflects a more intimate, perhaps introspective approach to your feelings. The playful design with climbing shelves for pets signifies your playful side and how you want to maintain joy in your environment.
Emotional Growth: Moving into the house and eventually accepting your mother's relationship symbolizes personal growth and acceptance. It illustrates the journey of coming to terms with changes in family dynamics, suggesting that you might eventually find peace with these developments.
Overall, this dream reflects complex emotions about familial relationships, change, and personal identity, culminating in a narrative of growing acceptance and emotional maturity. It may encourage you to explore these themes further in your waking life, allowing for open communication with your family about your feelings.
